Macro Photography with Beth Reynolds
Wednesdays, 6 classes
6:30pm – 9pm
Skill Level: Intermediate
Fall Session 2 (Nov 1, 8, 15, 29, Dec 6 & 13) – No class Nov 22 for Thanksgiving
Slow down and move in close–discover the beauty of macro photography. Students will learn about creative and technical aspects of this fun way of seeing the world. There will be in-class photography, assignments each week, and critique. Lighting and post-production will be discussed. Students need to understand manual exposure and own a tripod and a macro/micro lens for this class. If you need to buy one, the instructor can help you select a new or used lens to learn with.
I began photographing for my school newspaper in the 9th grade. Being a photojournalist has been my passion for nearly 30 years. In 1995 I received my MFA in photography from The Hartford Art School.
In 2003, I was selected to be the first Photographer Laureate for the city of Tampa. I love teaching as much as taking photographs and have been combining these loves for over 20 years. Currently I am the Director of Photography at the Morean Arts Center.
