The Motion Class with Beth Reynolds
Tuesdays, 6 classes
7pm – 9:30pm
Skill Level: Intermediate
Fall Session 2 (Special Dates: October 18, 25, Nov 15, 22, 29 and Dec 6)
Explore the idea of motion in photography: from showing it to stopping and all the ideas in between. Students will look at a wide variety of photographers for inspiration and will learn how to utilize their shutter to add a layer of creativity- from panning, high speed, long exposure, dragging the shutter with flash and more.
Students need manual exposure skills, a tripod, and curiosity!
I began photographing for my school newspaper in the 9th grade. Being a photojournalist has been my passion for nearly 30 years. In 1995 I received my MFA in photography from The Hartford Art School.
In 2003, I was selected to be the first Photographer Laureate for the city of Tampa. I love teaching as much as taking photographs and have been combining these loves for over 20 years. Currently I am the Director of Photography at the Morean Arts Center.
