Wood BURNing Art Workshop with Rachel Stewart
Saturday & Sunday, October 12 & 13
10am – 4pm each day
This two-day workshop is a great introduction into the traditional art of “pyrography” also known as “wood burning”. The student will learn how to achieve a large range of tones and shades using a special pen like tool and special bits to burn their design onto a soft wood surface. The student can also create a mixed media art work by adding different materials and or color to the finished product. Don’t know what to draw—-? Bring your favorite picture design or a favorite drawing and we will transfer it to the balsa wood surface. It is fun and an easy technique to learn. Wood burning can be enjoyed by all skill levels.
