Registration Policy

Enrollment is accepted only after full payment is received by the Morean. Registrations are entered on a first-come-first-served basis. Students are responsible for obtaining and providing class materials unless otherwise noted.

Tuition Refund Policy

Full refund or credit will be issued for any class cancelled by the Morean Arts Center. A $25 processing fee is deducted for all other student refund requests. No refunds will be issued on or after the first day of class.

Class Transfers

Students may transfer to another class providing space is available and before the second class meeting, and provided that this does not disrupt the Morean Arts Center’s ability to continue offering the class for which the student was originally registered. Arrangements must be made through the Education Department prior to attending another class.

Class Attendance

Class attendance is the responsibility of the student. The Morean Arts Center is not responsible for providing students with make-up classes not the fault of the faculty or the Center.

Inclement Weather / Class Cancellations

The Morean Arts Center will make every attempt to reschedule classes, but cannot guarantee class make-ups due to weather conditions or other incidents beyond our control. Please visit MoreanArtsCenter.org or call 727.822.7872 for the latest update and information.

Gift Certificates & Vouchers

Gift certificates and vouchers do not expire.

Liability & Photo Release

By virtue of my registration for class(es), I release the Arts Center Association, Inc. from any bodily injury sustained, or loss or damage of any personal article, while on the premises or through my participation in any activity sponsored by the Arts Center Association, Inc.
If medical attention is required due to accident or illness, the Arts Center Association, Inc. shall be permitted to seek such medical services on my behalf as it deems necessary and appropriate through EMS/911 and/or local hospitals. Unless I notify the Arts Center Association, Inc. in writing, by virtue of my registration for class(es), I agree to allow the Arts Center Association, Inc. to take photographs in which I appear, to be used only for Arts Center public relations and archival purposes. The Arts Center Association, Inc. reserves the right to deny class registration(s) to any student(s) upon refusal or waiver of this liability release.

Changes & Substitutions

The Morean reserves the right to withdraw and revise classes, tuition and fee structures; substitute instructors or schedules; and to amend policies as deemed necessary to provide for efficient operation of the organization.

PEL Classes

The Morean Arts Center offers classes for college credit through Eckerd College’s Program for Experienced Learners (PEL). For-credit classes can be identified by the initials PEL in the class title. PEL students must be 25 years of age or older and must have a high school diploma or equivalent. Community students are eligible to take PEL classes.
