JULY 2016 – Summer Fun Continues @ Morean!
Morean Arts Center:
*Summer Camp 2016 registration continues! Slots are still available for select Summer Camp weeks through August 5. Boys & girls ages 4-15 are having a blast immersing in art, clay, glass camp and more. Click here
*Morean Arts Center premieres its “98th Annual Members’ Show” Saturday, July 9. In conjunction with July’s “Second Saturday ArtWalk” throughout the city, Morean Arts Center premieres its “98th Annual Members’ Show” from 5 PM to 9 PM. Admission and parking are FREE! The exhibition runs through August 13.
*Escape the heat and learn something new like jewelry making, painting, ceramics and more when Summer Session 2 starts July 18. Morean Arts Center is excited to offer fun and interesting classes for people of all ages and skill levels. *Saturdays @ The Morean is temporarily closed in June & July for Summer Camp. The Free children’s art session every Saturday continues on Aug. 13, from 10 AM to 4 PM.
*Beth Reynolds hosts “NYC Photo Trip” October 20-23. Registration is open for photo lovers looking for some adventure. Morean Arts Center photography director Beth Reynolds will guide a group tour through New York City, including attending one of the world’s largest photography shows. Cost is $1,300 and includes airfare, hotel, a Metro Card and meals. Register here
Morean Center for Clay:
*’Phantasia’: New works by Haley Swanson July 1 through July 31. Please join us as we celebrate the culmination of Haley’s work during her time as an “Artist in Residence” at the Morean Center for Clay.
*”Second Saturday ArtWalk” Saturday, July 9 from 5 PM to 9 PM. Free admission and parking. Come explore the 26,000 square-foot pottery at the historic Seaboard Train Station. Morean Center for Clay is open Tuesday through Saturday from 10 AM to 5 PM.

The Chihuly Collection:
*$5 Weekend July 9th & 10th for the Chihuly Collection’s 6th Anniversary in downtown St. Petersburg! Come celebrate with a $5 “St. Pete Arts Experience” combo ticket for the Chihuly Collection and a Morean Glass Studio & Hot Shop glassblowing show, Saturday, July 9 and Sunday, July 10.

Morean Glass Studio & Hot Shop:
*The Morean Glass Studio & Hot Shop is CLOSED every Monday through the summer months. Guests can still enjoy shopping in the Glass Studio from 12 PM to 5 PM Tuesday through Sunday, and watching live Hot Shop glassblowing shows at 1, 2, 3, & 4 PM Tuesday through Sunday.
*Children can make their own Glass Handprint all summer! Or blow your own glass ornament in an amazing 1-on-1 glassblowing session with a professional artist. Your “Personal Experience” awaits. Click here to check out the Hot Shop and Personal Experience sessions; 4 times available daily!
