ST. PETERSBURG, Fla. – As she ends her two-year Artist-in-Residence stint at Morean Center for Clay, Haley Swanson will go out with a bang with her “Phantasia” exhibition which premieres Saturday, July 9. Coinciding with “Second Saturday ArtWalk” from 5 p.m. to 9 p.m., “Phantasia” will run through July 31. Admission and parking are free at Morean Center for Clay.
“It’s my first solo exhibition and I am very excited. I think this work is the best I’ve ever created and I can’t wait to share it with everyone,” says Swanson, a 24-year-old native of Greenville, South Carolina and a graduate of Winthrop University.
The daughter of a registered nurse and a computer expert, Swanson was accepted into the competitive Artist-in-Residence program at Morean Center for Clay in 2014 as she finished her senior year of college.
