Morean Arts Center:

Paradise Cities/Dave Williams:  Wish you Could Hear what I’m Thinking Exhibits – Opening reception free to the public on Saturday, September 10, from 5pm-9pm running through October 30. The 10 female artists featured in Paradise Cities are from Florida and fuse street art aesthetic into their studio practice to create original works of art.

Saturdays @ The Morean – (Sept. 3, 10, 17, 24, from 10am-4pm). Weekly FREE themed art activities led by an instructor offered every Saturday, and geared toward children ages 5-10.

Artists in Residence Welcoming Party – (Thursday, September 8, from 6pm-9pm). Join us for a meet and greet pot luck dinner from 6pm-9pm. After the pot luck, the Artists in Residence will give a short presentation on their work and life. The new AIR exhibition runs from September 1-30. Opening night is part of Second Saturday on September 10, from 5pm-9pm.

Friday Night Clay – (Sept. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, from 7pm-9pm). Come play in clay for 2 hours every Friday night in September from 7pm-9pm. Pre-registration is required ($25/person). All clay materials are provided, but make sure you bring a towel and your favorite beverage! Sugar Plum Fairies

Sundays @ The Morean – (Sept. 4, 11, 18, 25, from 1pm-3pm). Weekly FREE themed art activities, geared toward children ages 5-15 years old with teaching artist Heather Tinnaro.


The Chihuly Collection – Closed! 

Friday, October 14 from 7pm-10pm – Homecoming Celebration – Enjoy viewing the Chihuly Collection for the first time in its new Central Avenue location. Experience the new outdoor garden as well as all of the offerings at the Morean Arts Center located directly across the street.

Saturday, October 15 – Ribbon cutting at 9:30am. Doors open 10am until 7pm at Central Avenue 700 Block – Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Central Arts District as we celebrate the public re-opening of the Chihuly Collection with delicious local eats along Central Avenue and a festive atmosphere!

Personal Glass Experience – Watch, learn and participate with your very own personal glass experience in the Hot Shop! Take advantage of an amazing opportunity to work with one of our demonstration artists to learn the fundamentals of glass blowing. Offered daily, pre-registration required, $75 per experience.
