New Belgium Clips Beer & Film Tour Hosts FUNdraiser for the Morean Center for Clay

Picture yourself in an alluring venue after dark drinking beer — legally. With your friends, lights, lawn games, good tunes and a giant screen playing short films full of folly

St. Petersburg, Fla. – The city of St. Petersburg joins the ranks of some of the hottest (no pun intended) places to drink beer after dark and indulge in the arts with friends. The Morean Center for Clay will host the 7th annual New Belgium Clips Beer & Film Tour on Friday, September 30. Doors open at 7:30pm and the film begins at 9:30pm.

New Belgium Brewing’s Clips Beer & Film Tour is a free event featuring short films and a selection of small-batch beers. Local beneficiary volunteers serve beer with close to 20 different New Belgium offerings on tap in 3-ounce samples, 12-once pours, or cans. All proceeds from beer sales support the Morean Center for Clay.

In addition to sippin’ on fine New Belgium brews, local eats will be supplied by Maggie on the Move, The Twisted Iron and The Twisted Indian.

The Morean Center for Clay is located in a historic train depot on 22nd Street South in the Warehouse Arts District of St. Petersburg, Fla. It has become one of the largest working potteries in the Southeast United States with an over-arching goal of promoting and enhancing the education of contemporary and historic ceramics.

The Morean Center for Clay offers high-quality classes with professional teaching artists from the local community and Artists-in-Residence participants from around the country. Classes and workshops are designed with all skill levels in mind.

Make sure you bring your ID to Clips to prove you’re old enough to drink. Feel free to also bring low chairs or blankets or just lounge on the grass as the screen for the film will be setup on the lawn! No outside alcohol is allowed in the venue, but bring your own water bottle as water will be given away for free. St. Petersburg and New Belgium LOVE dogs, so please feel free to bring your pup as long as you have him or her under control, on a leash, curbed and by your side.

Not to forget the most important part to enjoy a night out with beer, films and friends, please find a safe way to get home!
