 School’s Out / Art’s In – School’s out and art’s in on Wednesday, October 12, from 9am-3pm for Pinellas County teacher training day. Schools are CLOSED, so bring your kids ages 5-10 to the Morean to get crafty.  Schools Out Arts In Thumbnail OCT

Paradise Cities/David Williams: Wish You Could Hear What I’m Thinking Exhibits – Continues through October 30. The 10 female artists featured in Paradise Cities are from Florida and fuse street art aesthetic into their studio practice to create original works of art. David Williams is a local artist known for his mixed media paintings.

Saturdays @ the Morean – (Oct. 1, 8, 15, 22, 29, from 10am-4pm). Weekly FREE themed art activities led by an instructor offered every Saturday, and geared toward children ages 5-10.

There’s No Time Like the Presents: 2016 Holiday Show & Sale Deadline to enter is October 15! – Annual members show with a buy-local retail focus for the holidays.

 

Morean Center for Clay:

Stories on Clay – (October 8 – November 30). A ceramic exhibition with a focus on narrative, storytelling and imagery, juried by Sue Tirrell.  Sue Tirrell-Tooled Bull Platter

Friday Night Clay – (Oct. 7, 14, 21, 28, from 7pm-9pm). Come play in clay for 2 hours every Friday night in October from 7pm-9pm. Pre-registration is required ($25/person). All clay materials are provided, but make sure you bring a towel and your favorite beverage!

Sundays @ The Morean – (Oct. 2, 9, 16, 23, 30, from 1pm-3pm). Weekly FREE themed art activities, geared toward children ages 5-15 years old with teaching artist Heather Tinnaro and Amanda Burg.

The Chihuly Collection Reopens!  

Friday, October 14 from 7pm-10pm – Homecoming Celebration – Enjoy viewing the Chihuly Collection for the first time in its new Central Avenue location. Tickets available HERE.

Saturday, October 15 – Ribbon cutting at 9:30am. Doors open 10am until 7pm at Central Avenue 700 Block – Enjoy the sights and sounds of the Central Arts District as we celebrate the public re-opening of the Chihuly Collection.
