Eat Rich, Play Dirty at the Morean Arts Center’s Fifth Annual Signature Fundraiser
Enjoy decadent desserts, refreshing drinks and local art
St. Petersburg , Fla. – The Morean Arts Center’s major fundraiser, Eat Rich, Play Dirty, has been a success, both in raising funds for the non-profit, but also in general reviews from attendees over the past four years. The fifth annual Eat Rich, Play Dirty is scheduled for Saturday, November 5, at the Morean Center for Clay.
“Eat Rich, Play Dirty is a unique event with high-end offerings yet a casual atmosphere where anyone can get their hands dirty,” said Morean Interim Executive Director and CFO Roger Ross. “This event showcases exactly what the Morean is all about – creativity, fun and a place to play.”
One hugely successful component of the event every year is a raffle for local artwork by the Morean’s artist instructors — each winning comes with a free 6-week class with that artist. Board member and benefactor Beth Morean said, “The Morean has an amazing staff of talented and dynamic instructors who are the life-blood of the Morean Arts Center, and this fundraiser helps raise money to fund the educational programs and department as a whole, not to mention it’s the best party of the year and not one to miss out on!”
Proceeds will benefit the Morean’s education and exhibition programs. Annually, the Morean offers over 200 classes in a wide variety of mediums for all ages and abilities, including children’s camps. Additionally, the Morean Arts Center, Morean Center for Clay and Chihuly Collection showcase over 30 exhibitions annually, of which 90 percent are open to the public with no admission fee.
Eat Rich, Play Dirty will include food and drink donated by local restaurants, complimentary valet, silent auction, raffle, live music, and plenty of hands-on art activities where guests are encouraged to get their hands dirty.
The Morean Center for Clay is located at 420 22nd Street South, St. Petersburg, FL. Tickets ($75) to Eat Rich, Play Dirty are available online at MoreanArtsCenter.org or by calling 727.822.7872 ext. 8.
