The Chihuly Collection is now open at its new location on Central Avenue. Experience works by Dale Chihuly known only to St. Petersburg, accompanied by a theater and premier retail store.

The Garden is now open to those who purchase tickets to see the Collection. Experience an oasis in the heart of the Central Arts District.

Cocktails at the Collection (Saturday, February 25, from 6pm-8pm) — Enjoy a favorite cocktail and light eats as guests meander through the Collection after hours.

School’s Out / Art’s In (Monday, February 20, from 9am-3pm) — It’s teacher training day in Pinellas County and there’s NO SCHOOL for kids. Bring them to the Morean for a 1-day Art Camp. Ages 5-10.

Major Mud Revisited (January 14 – February 26, 2017) – Known for exhibiting painting and drawing, the Art Club of St. Petersburg displayed the first sculptural work in 1958, the 30th year of that organization. Previous Morean staff member Melissa Yungbluth carries on the tradition by inviting 6 artists from across the country to share their latest works with our community.

Journey: Photographs on the Way to a Destination (January 14 – February 26, 2017) – World renowned National Geographic photographer Sam Abell returns to the Morean to jury an exhibition that focuses on photography and community.

20 Years of Word & Image (January 20 – February 24, 2017) – The third installation. Reception is scheduled for Saturday, February 11, from 3pm – 5pm.

4th Annual Florida Heat: Surface Design 2017 (Click HERE for a full schedule) — Come join nationally recognized artists Matthew Metz, Linda Christianson, Sam Chung, Carole Epp, Meredith Host, Thaddeus Erdahl, Adam Field and Ben Carter as they demonstrate their approaches to designing a well thought out pottery surface.

Florida Heat Surface Gallery Show (February 11 – March 31) — Opening during 2nd Saturday ArtWalk on Saturday, February 11, from 5pm-9pm.

Artist in Residence Silent Auction (Saturday, February 4, from 6pm-8pm) — This free event will feature work from each of our Resident Artists as well as work from nationally renowned artists including: Shana Fliegel, Brett Kern, Rob Kohlhouse, Lindsay Oesterritter, Stephen Robinson and Amy Santoferraro. All proceeds from the silent auction will got to support the Artist in Residence Program.
