A Note from the CEOWhy do we create?

Over the past nine months, I’ve had a chance to ask a variation of this question to Morean members. As you would imagine, responses and mileage may vary, but four key words pop up over and over: happiness, mindfulness, spirituality, and joy.

There’s a great quote by Pablo Picasso that welcomes all to our Children’s Learning Center:
“All children are born artists, the problem is how to remain an artist as we grow up.”

Now, more than ever, the joy and happiness the Morean helps generate is a tonic to the stress and distractions of daily life. We offer people of all ages and abilities an opportunity to connect heart, hands, mind and soul to create – to put away the cell phone for a few hours, and discover the artist within.

Thanks for all you do to make our community a more creative and happier place!

For Fresh Squeezed, we encourage artists to break boundaries, to think of ways their work can create a dialog in our community, our region, in our wild, wacky, wonderful state. Featured artists: Catherine Gomez, Glenyse Thompson, Jack Fields, Katrina Sarah Miller, Lauren Mitchell and Matthew Cicanese.
