Studio classes in mediums ranging from watercolor and printmaking to photography and clay will return to the Morean Arts Center with a Summer 2020 session beginning the week of July 20. Creators, makers and artists of all ages are encouraged to pre-register for the limited spaces available. The Morean is complying with all social distancing and safety guidelines including a reduced capacity in studio spaces and reserved workspaces for individual class participants. “The Morean will continue to offer virtual art gallery tours and online class options to meet the needs of our entire community,” says Executive Director Howayda Affan. “Creating art is essential to well-being, bridges understanding, and connects our community. Our artist community members benefit from the exchange of ideas and collaboration that is unique to the in-studio experience.”

The Chihuly Collection and public gallery spaces of the Morean Arts Center and Morean Center for Clay as well as the shops featuring locally made art in the Morean Glass Studio and all Morean facilities have been open since Memorial Day Weekend.
