The Art of Caring: Winter Session II Classes “on HOLD”

The Morean Arts Center is focused on the mission of connecting the community to Art. In accordance with best practices for containment of  coronavirus (COVID-19) the Morean Arts Center, Morean Center for Clay, Morean Glass Studio and the Chihuly Collection are temporarily closed and our programming is suspended. We continue to take appropriate actions to help keep our visitors, teachers, students, volunteers and employees safe and healthy.

Our Winter Session II Classes are on Hold. We are at a mid-way point in the class sessions and this presents an opportune inflection point to resume our work in the studios, classrooms and glass shops of the Morean when it is safe to do so. Workshops, Personal Glass or Clay Art Experiences, and Open Studios are canceled. Registered students and Morean Members are encouraged to look for social media updates and email announcements in their Morean eNewsletter.

Your safety and the health and well-being of our arts community is our priority. We plan to honor our legacy of innovation and accessibility during these difficult times. Our founders were the first to bring children into museum settings and to understand the critical role of the Arts in education and well-being. We are inspired to meet this challenge and encourage you to monitor our website and social media platforms for updates and innovative offerings.

Art transforms lives, gives soul to communities and provide bridges to new understanding and enlightenment. Our leadership team is working diligently on innovative, creative and safe ideas that will position us to respond to the emerging needs of the community.

Our thoughts remain with all effected directly by the Coronavirus and their loved ones. Stay healthy and safe – We look forward to creating some wonderful healing art or sharing the joyful spirit of creativity with you soon.
